CEER 2023 Customer Conference: Avenues for the Green and Digital Transition: Enabling energy consumers as agents and beneficiaries.

On 25 October 2022, at a meeting of its General Assembly, the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) elected two new Vice Presidents. One of them was Jana Haasová, representing the ERO. She will thus capitalise on her extensive professional experience in the EU environment while the Czech Republic will have a strong mandate in discussion on the future of the common European energy policy on an international platform.

On the occasion of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU, ERO invited to Prague the European energy regulators’ most senior representatives to regular meetings of the CEER General Assembly and the ACER Board of Regulators on 20 and 21 September respectively.

ERO welcomed to Prague Christian Zinglersen, ACER Director, who had arrived as part of his long planned calls on regulators across the EU. In addition to discussing European energy regulation and long-term cooperation between the organisations, Stanislav Trávníček, Chairman of the ERO Board, and Christian Zinglersen also touched upon the current situation in the Czech Republic.

Along with activities in multilateral relationships, ERO pays increased attention to promoting regional and bilateral cooperation. The Visegrád Group (V4) is prominent in ERO’s regional cooperation.
