Energetický regulační úřad (ERÚ) a Rada evropských energetických regulátorů (CEER) zasedly ke kulatému stolu společně se zástupci průmyslu (včetně společnosti ČEPS a provozovatelů distribučních soustav) i spotřebitelů. Tématem diskuse byla digitalizace, resp. konzultační dokument CEER "Dynamic Regulation to Enable Digitalisation of the Energy System", který je věnovaný výhledu digitalizace a nyní (do 14. května 2019) prochází veřejným konzultačním procesem.

„Digitalizace mění energetiku už dnes a během několika let bude její naprosto přirozenou součástí. Regulátoři proto musí nastavit nová pravidla a připravit se na nové úkoly, provozovatelé soustav přizpůsobují své sítě, dodavatelé chystají nové služby. Spolehlivost dodávek zůstává klíčový úkolem a všichni aktéři budou muset vzít v potaz rostoucí význam kybernetické bezpečnosti.  To však nestačí. Musíme zajistit, aby se přínosy digitalizace mezi spotřebitele rozprostřely spravedlivě. Nemůžeme například dopustit například to, aby náklady nesli všichni, zatímco užitek by plynul pouze těm, kteří si mohou dovolit tzv. chytrou domácnost nebo velkou střešní fotovoltaiku," komentuje dílčí výstupy kulatého stolu Charles Esser, generální tajemník CEER.

ERO and CEER held a round table discussion on digitalization

The Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) and the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) held  a round table discussion together with industry professionals (including electricity TSO ČEPS and  DSOs) and consumer organization representatives. The main topic of discussion was digitalization of the energy sector, or more specifically the CEER public consultation document Dynamic Regulation to Enable Digitalisation of the Energy System, which considers the outlook for digitalization. The paper is now subject to a public consultation (until May 14, 2019).

"Digitalization is changing the energy sector already now, and within several years it will become its integral part. Therefore regulators must set up new rules and be prepared for changing duties, system operators are adapting their networks, and energy suppliers are preparing new services. Reliability of supply remains a key objective and the growing importance of cybersecurity will also need to be taken into account by all actors. However, this is not enough. We need to ensure, that the benefits of digitalization will be fairly distributed among all consumers. We cannot, for example, allow that the costs will be borne by everyone, whereas the benefits will accrue only to those, who can afford a smart home or a large rooftop PV system," Charles Esser, CEER Secretary General, said about the intermediate outcomes of the round table discussion.
