Information about REMIT Regulation

The Energy Regulatory Office prepared an information paper about REMIT based on communication with market participants and other stakeholders.

The aim is to provide the stakeholders with up-to-date and compact information about REMIT.

  • Who is affected by the REMIT Regulation?
  • What products and markets are covered by REMIT?
  • What is ACER's role under REMIT?
  • What does "market abuse" mean?
  • What does "inside information" mean?

Answers to these questions can be found in "Questions and answers about REMIT implementation". See the original version of this document here.

ACER publishes a document Questions & Answers on REMIT which is updated on regular basis. Document relates both regulation REMIT and COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) No 1348/2014 on data reporting implementing Article 8(2) and Article 8(6) of Regulation (EU) No 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency.
